I left it late this week on my selections for the Masters because of the weather but I have finally went with guys who drive the ball a distance - the fairways will be soft so a guy who can drive it far - his advantage will be increased this week because of the weather conditions I mentioned.

My Picks:
Rory Mcilroy 8/1
Rickie Fowler 18/1
Phil Mickelson 25/1
Bubba Watson 40/1
Daniel Berger 80/1
Brandan Steele 150/1

Best of luck if you're having a bet this week on the masters and let's hope the conditions improve so we can enjoy some golf!!

Just how bad are the American fans? Support your team by all means but i think they over step the mark on so many occasions. Just reign it in a bit and be a touch more respectful.

Probably a lot of hockey fans there. Most of what they say is just embarrassing. Brilliant tournament so far, high hopes of getting 7 and a half tomorrow. Westwood has had a nightmare since he started!

Agree Jamal on Westwood and also Kaymar. Two of Clarkie's picks. Here hoping for a miracle today. Nothing better than shutting up the mouthy Americans. MASH POTATO!

One of the best rounds, if not the best round of golf I've ever seen. I'll never forget that eagle on 16 just a brilliant comeback from Rory. I never thought I'd see another tiger woods or anything like him but if Mcilroy really got some consistency going he would finish his career right up there with Woods. I cannot wait for the ryder cup.

On a sad note, Arnold Palmer passed away at the age of 87 RIP another legend of the game.

Jordan Speiths putting is incredible he made 4 or 5 20ft putts today. 3 over after 2 and came back to finish 2 under. Rory has been very good also despite the back to back doubles.

Hey Ed023

Please say you stuck with DJ for the third week running!

{Ed023's Note - Of course not ha ha.. To be honest I took a break this week but seeing him win was hard to take - back next week for the last tournament of the season}

Hey Ed 023

Honestly mate, i haven't a clue what to do next! 4 guys in the top 15 last week and not even a sniff of a cash.

I succumbed to the tipsters this week and went with Spieth. Call me negative but i reckon that's doomed already.

Stuck with Kisner again, a bit like yourself sticking with Grillo, hopefully it may pay off.

Final choice was between Knox and Thomas. Went for Thomas again also but he can't putt for toffee so i'll just wait and see lol.

Must say i was gutted for Knox that he didn't get the nod from Clarke. Might be big motivation for him this week.

{Ed023's Note - I thought Knox was a shoe in to be honest so it must be tough for him to take but I'm sure he will come back stronger. I got a nice run for my money last week with Grillo and in the end I was happy with the place pay out of 20/1. I've stayed loyal this week with Grillo along with Speith, Oosthuizen and D Johnson.

Best of luck with your bets buddy}

Just to add Grillo, Kucher and Zac Blair to my bets for the Barclays

I also added Kisner Ed! Thought he'd be in contention last week but he played well and was more than twice the price this week so i saw sense. Best of luck with your picks mate.

{Ed023's Note - cheers bud.. I got Zac Blair at 750/1 - said I'd give it a go as he came 4th here last year}

Hey Ed 023

Think there's a nice week in prospect at the Barclays. Great, tough course which is supposed to be playing quite fast.

I've only gone and dived into the mickelson trap head first again! If i'm honest it's really only the place part of it that's realistic and i never look at a bet like that so i'm sure it will backfire but i think he will be in contention. He finished second at both opens there and the crowd support is massive.

I thought Walker was overpriced after a MC last week so he's in. Horschel jumped out at me after playing nicely last week. I backed him for both of his Fedex wins a couple of years back so hopefully he has good memories like me! Lastly, a couple of small, speculative bets on Ryan Palmer and Finau. Palmer was just overpriced at 200's but he's now 125 and his draw shape might help on this course.

Sorry to continue after all that nonsense but i noticed Paddy Power are offering top 30 and top 40 betting this week. I haven't seen that before so i had a look. I've been following Stefani quite closely of late and he's 5/1 for a top 30 finish. He's started to play well and i almost backed him outright but i think a win is very unlikely. A place in the top 30 is very likely in my mind and it should be more like a 3/1 shot.

Anyway, sorry for the lengthy post! As always, curious to hear yourself and other posters thoughts. Cheers Ed.

{Ed023's Note - no worries, nice post and I will take your advice regarding StefanI and top 30 - they are great odds I will also bet on him ew for the tournament.. As for myself I've backed paul dunne in Denmark at 100/1... I'm going all in then on Dustin Johnson in America. Best of luck with your bets this week and let's hope we make a profit this week..}

Hey Ed023

Bloody awful week just gone, or should i say weekend because it started out quite promising!

Not really feelin the buzz for it this week. Had a quick look though and Harris English at 66's looks kinda tasty. I've been waiting to back Kisner again too so i'll probably just go with those 2.

{Ed023's Note - I had a sweat for a plce with Grillo but he didn't do much on Sunday. I am going to skip this week myself and just have a few football bets on Saturday which I will post on the football page by the way, best of luck with your bets}

Hey Ed023

Last week worked out nicely so i've taken the same route and made my picks before reading what the tipsters have to say.

I really just went with the tried and tested method of finding players that need to perform at this stage of the season to make the playoffs. Didn't quite work with Noh last week but i went with Stefani, Merritt, and Scott Brown at decent prices.

Bigger bet on Streb even though i really don't like the price and i took a flyer with Rhein Gibson. He's been shooting some low scores on the and played well on the main tour when Baddeley won. I might back one more so i'll wait your choices and see!

{Ed023's Note - you're on a roll buddy, well done on the Knox pick. I'm going with Grillo this week for the Olympics, all in on him as I feel being from that part of the world he will have no problem adapting to any different conditions..}

Cheers Ed023

I basically ignored the Olympics this week really, but i will admit that i caved in and backed a couple of doubles. Stenson and Stricker for a fav's double. Hend and Stefani for a wild one. I read up on the course and didn't really know what to make of it, no rough or trees and just dependent on the wind. Best of luck with Grillo, he certainly seems close.

{Ed023's Note - Cheers and good luck with those picks too.. Grillo is playing well in round 3 but Rose is playing brilliant stuff.. Fowler had a great day on the course shooting 7 under.}

Hi Ed023

It's been a while! Been caught up with lots of stuff and didn't really have time to post. I've looked backed through your posts and congrats on DJ at Oakmont. I managed Stenson at the Open, really pleased about that as it's my only winner since Grace in April!

My picks last week were nearly identical to Fresh and honestly i can say that's the last time Sergio gets the nod! I thought he could take heart from Stenson's play. He may well win one at some point but even great players like Monty just aren't destined to get one of the big ones. Garcia might just be the same.

Anyway, this week i went for the two Russell's. Knox and Henley. Justin Thomas seems close to form and while i don't rate him nearly as highly as the commentators like to bang on about, 50's is reasonable. And a small ew on Noh. Needs to save his card quite soon and has played okay at the course before.

{Ed023's Note - Hi buddy nice to hear from you and we'll done on your Stenson selection, thanks regarding the DJ bet. Best of luck with your bets this week and that Noh shout is one I will keep an eye on thanks for that. .

Congrats to Jimmy walker on a brilliant win at the PGA Championship, well deserved sir. Out of the selections two gave me a sweat with Grace in the end getting a place and a decent return with odds of 55/1. Grillo had a great week but round 3 cost him but he has a lot of positives to take away from this week.

Last major of the season this week and I have a few selections to share and of course all each way.

Sergio Garcia 28/1
Brandt Snedeker 55/1
Branden Grace 55/1
JB Holmes 66/1
Emillino Grillo 150/1

Gone with a few big prices this week as I feel there could be a value bet somewhere... Best of luck with your bets this week ..}

Royal Troon take centre stage this week for the Open Championship where American Zach Johnson will look to successful defend the title he claimed last year at St Andrews. American Dustin Johnson (tipped up here for US Open)will be hoping for back to back major championships. Rory Mcilroy didn't get the chance to defend his title last year missing out through injury but he will hope to make a bold showing this week.

Six selections for me this week and of course all each way.

Best of luck this week if you're having a bet.
